The Bartlett Municipal Planning Commission consists of nine (9) members, seven of whom are appointed by the Mayor for terms of three years. The other members are the Mayor or Mayor's designee and one member of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. (See the Bartlett Codified Ordinances, Sections 02-0801 and 02-0802.)
The Planning Commission is established under the authority and terms of the Tennessee Code, Title 13, Chapter 4, Municipal Planning. This chapter also governs adoption of a general plan (see the 1997 Master Plan) and subdivision regulations (see the Subdivision Ordinance).
